Married Couples Retreat

This past weekend Sam and I spent time at our Church's semi-annual Married Couples Retreat. As always it was a BLAST. Friday evening after we all arrived we played the Jelly Bean game. Each color of jellybean represented a different question you had to answer. We went around the table many times finding out quite a lot about everyone with quite a few funny stories. We spent the rest of the evening playing games. The guys opted for Poker while the ladies tried out a new question and guessing game. Later in the evening some of the crowd headed off to bed while the rest of us played the drawing version of the gossip game. A game that will almost always work out your ab muscles from all the laughing you will do.

Saturday was just as fun. Most of us came dragging in and enjoyed breakfast together. Followed by the always hysterical Newlywed Game. A game that I truly believe can test a marriage, but Sam and I did better than we thought. Next we had a little free time so when in Branson you must hit an outlet mall. That was followed by a very nice lunch, a quick devotional, and a few guys vs. girl’s games.
A few couples stayed Saturday night, but Sam and I decided to head on home to see the kids (plus Mama wasn’t to thrilled with the idea of watching them two nights in a row, especially the getting them to bed part) The weekend was a blast and was full of lots of fun fellowship. I already can't wait for the next one in September. Below are the nine couples that attended this year.
