Well Sheila's session at Happy Hollow just came to an end. I didn't get to be out there as much as I would like, thanks to my boys both getting sick just days before. Monday and Tuesday I was able to go out and assist with cooking Dinner. Yesterday I was able to be out there as the cook all day. I can now say I have cooked on a griddle, which I must admit those are nice to cook on and I wish I had one at the house. You can cook bacon on those bad boys in about two minutes. I got to do a little swimming in the day before the storms moved in and forced us out of the pool. That night, when the families arrived to eat dinner and pick their children up, there was a down poor of rain. The weather said we got a little over an inch in that short time. But it turned out to be not so bad. We were practically done with anything we needed to do outside. It made for a lot of entertainment trying to watch the parents get into the A-frame without being soaked. And it really cooled that A-frame off a lot so dinner wasn't miserable hot.
The night ended with us getting the kids sent off and then Jill, Sheila and I went for a nice evening swim, until once again the lightening ran us out of the pool. After that we raided the fridge for any leftover foods (mostly different flavors of ice cream) and called it a night. I am already looking forward to next year and hope I get to stay out there a little more.
