Surprise Party
Monday my Aunt Polly turned 60 years old. Some of the family (Valorie and Tina) decided we should have a surprise birthday party for her. Me, mom and the boys headed down to Arkansas so we could attend and spend some time with the family. The party was Sunday night, after Church, I was responsible for getting her to the party without letting on to what was going on. I knew I could get her to the car, without her thinking twice, by suggesting we go get ice cream in her honor and having everyone agree. So that worked, but I still needed a way to get to Tina's house. Valorie and Tina suggested I need down to Tina’s to look at her computer. So to make it seem believable, I had mom place a fake phone call to me and told Tina I would be right down. We all loaded up to swing by Tina's. Polly started to get suspicious at this point. She said on the way down that she thought, "If Valorie's car is here, this is a surprise party." But when we pulled in there was no one else’s car there so Polly knew I was just stopping in to check Tina's computer, like I said I was. What she didn’t know was everyone else’s car was hide. We headed inside quickly and got into position with all the others. Polly came in to a loud SURPRISE, and she truly was surprised. The rest of the evening we had burgers and cake and a great time with the family.
