Family Christmas

This past weekend we all loaded up and headed back down to Arkansas for Mom's family Christmas. We weren't all able to get together for Thanksgiving this year so Jimmy and Kathy decided to wait and come down for Christmas. I had found the perfect gift for Jimmy. Being such a Democrat as he is... (Okay not really... I don't think Jimmy has a touch of Democrat in him) I got him a dancing, singing Hillary Clinton doll. She was the hit of the weekend.

Saturday was such a warm day. I decided to take Pierce and Jake to the park. As soon as we got outside we realized it was sprinkling. So we decided just to hang out in the yard and play since it looked like any second it could start pouring.

Later in the day we finally made it down to the real park. Pierce decided he was a big boy and was going to do the big metal slide...that might be like a hundred years old since I remember sliding on this thing as a kid. Miller got to try a slide out too. I was afraid it was a little to big for him and he wouldn't like it but I could not have been more wrong. He LOVED it. The sounds of his giggles were priceless. He would hardly let us set him down before he tried to take off. And if we didn't get him back up there fast enough he would just try to climb back up himself.

Later in the night was our big dinner. All day long we knew a storm was moving in. It hit as Jimmy and Valorie was heading to Jonesboro to get Season. Because of the storm Rich didn't get to make it down. As soon as the storm hit, adults were running like crazy people trying to get dinner done before the power went out but we were lucky and it stayed on. Here is a cut picture of Ally sharing a corndog with Miller. They are quiet the little buds.

Finally it was time for our big Bingo game. Since Rich and Suzy weren't sure if they would make it this year they had dropped off their gifts earlier. I must admit I was a little surprised when I opened up my gift to see the famous can of Fish Balls. For years now, many, many, many years now this can has passed between Rich and Suzy and Chris and Valorie. So when I received it this year I knew something was up. Chris and Valorie did get a gift too but I have chosen not to put a picture of it since some may find it offensive...but I have to tell you it glowed, it walked, and it was FUNNY. There were quite a few good gifts in the bingo game this year. I think one of my favorites was Nenaw's hairpiece. I have to say she looked good in it.
