This week the boys and I have taken time to enjoy the great temperatures we have had outside. We started with a fun day at the park with our friends on Wednesday. Pierce and his little buddies had a great time playing on the play ground equipment and we moms had a great time sitting around chatting and watching them. I was quiet impressed with the playground equipment. It had all kinds of slides and ways to get back up it and Pierce had a good time trying almost all of them. He played really hard and still managed not to take a nap. (Killing me!)
Thursday of this week we decided to met a friend at the zoo. We had a good time seeing all the animals, especially the giraffe's. They had a platform where you could go up and feed them. Pierce loved getting so close to them. They asked you not to pet them, which seemed silly since there were so close and you were allowed to feed them but whatever. One of the smaller ones tried it's hardest to lick Pierce. I told him it was trying to give him a kiss; it did get pretty close but luckily didn't touch him. But it sure was fun watching. I even got a couple giggles out of Miller with them.
It turned out to be a real fun and very exhausting day. By the end of the day our friend had to run back to catch the field trip group. I had them go ahead cause Pierce was tired and we didn't want to rush. I ended up carrying Pierce out riding on my shoulders, using one arm to hold his feet and the other to push the stroller. I swear I think the whole zoo is up hill. But we did have time to get one good picture of me and my oldest boy (the youngest was snoozing in the stroller.)

Isn't it crazy how you can do activities that you are SURE are going to wear them out & it doesn't even phase them. I get worn out watching them :) I'm so excited that it is finally cooling off here so we are starting to be able to do someoutside stuff too!
